Our Story

At Refuge House for Ladies Thrift Store, every purchase has a purpose. We are more than just a thrift shop, we are a place of hope, restoration, and new beginnings. Our store supports the Refuge House ministry, which provides a safe and faith-filled environment for women seeking healing, growth, and a fresh start in life.

When you shop with us, you’re not only finding unique treasures and affordable clothing, but you’re also helping to change lives. All proceeds directly support programs that empower women to rebuild their confidence, discover their God-given worth, and move forward with strength and dignity.

Whether you’re donating, shopping, or volunteering, you are becoming part of a story of redemption and community. Together, we are creating a refuge of love and opportunity...one life at a time.

We are so grateful for your partnership with us and the Lord as we work to see lives and souls saved. To best serve our community, we respectfully ask that all donated items be “the best of the rest”...clean, gently used, and in good condition (no major repairs needed).

Approved Items

Men’s, Women’s, Children’s, and Infants’ clothing
Shoes, handbags, and accessories
Home goods & décor
Collectibles & antiques
Furniture (good to great condition)
Large appliances (by appointment only, must be in working order)
Toys (like new condition only)

Items We Cannot Accept

Pianos
Sofa beds, mattresses, box springs, waterbeds
Gas appliances or flammable liquids
Large exercise equipment
Old box TVs
DVDs, CDs, magazines
Baby beds, car seats, bouncy seats
Large entertainment centers
Weapons or automobile parts
Items in poor condition (broken, stained, torn, etc.)
Clothing, carpets, bedding, or furniture that are pet-stained or smoke-filled

Please contact us at the office at 478- 559-1108 for more information or to schedule a pickup for items that can’t be brought by The Refuge House Thrift Store.

For items that cannot be utilized in the store we offer a disposal fee to transport to a landfill. Minimum $75.00 fee and additional charges per item.
